Matches in 2026

All fixtures will be in the MATCHES section of the website. The scratch team plays 5 matches and the handicap team 3. This year the scratch matches will be in the same format as last year, with 3 singles matches and one foursomes’ match but only one match played per day. The handicap matches will be played on the same date and venue as the scratch matches.

The finals event, the Festival of Golf will once again be at the Branston Golf and Country Club on TBA 2026. The final scratch, handicap, 9-hole event and the Pirate golf will all take place at this event. We have 10 places for the 9-hole event, it would be fantastic to have a full team.

Junior Girls Coaching Sessions

Coaching takes place on the second Wednesday of each month from January to November, starting on Wednesday 14th January 2026 at Oakmere Park Golf Club.

Girls with higher handicaps to arrive at 6pm until 7pm and less than 22 handicap to arrive for the  7pm - 8pm session. Please register before the start of your session in the conservatory area of the clubhouse.

All junior girls are welcome to attend coaching, a handicap is not required.  Please let all your golfing friends know so that we can 'grow the game'.

Nottinghamshire Golf Competitions

All NCLGA fixtures are on the website. Please make a note of the dates.

Try to enter all the championships as soon as you are able as this does help with the planning. Online entries will be available for all NCLGA competitions.

All dates can be found on the Junior Fixtures page or in the Diary, Including the Notts Union events which are also open to girls.

Intermediate Championships - For all of you who are no longer a junior, you have still got the opportunity to take part in the Intermediate Championships on 10th May.  We have opened this up and it is now available to players from 19 - 49yrs.  We are looking forward to a strong field this year.

Open Competitions

In addition to the NCLGA fixtures and matches, there are two events open to all Notts Juniors with handicaps, these are:

MNR Junior Championships - 18 and 36 hole competition, Details TBA  As well as individual prizes, there is also a team competition for Notts to compete for!

Four Counties - 18 hole competition at TBA

Please support these events, it is a great opportunity to play against those friends you met at matches.

Nipper's Tour

This is open to girls and boys under 12 years on January 1st each year. There are 7 events, all 9 holes or less depending on age and ability. If a girl would prefer to play in an all-girls group, just put this on the application form. The idea is to get out on the course and have fun.
