Autumn Meeting & Veterans Cups
The Autumn Meeting was played at Norwood Park Golf Club on Monday 8th September. Thanks go to everyone at Norwood for their help and hospitality and for presenting the course in great condition. The weather was very kind to us too - warm and sunny!
The best Stableford score of the day was from Cheryl Slade (Wollaton Park) with an excellent 39 points. Cheryl won the Challenge Bowl, the Vets Bond Cup, the Centenary Bronze Medal. The Handicap Challenge Cup for the best aggregate stableford from the Summer and Autumn meetings was won by Jayne Barrs (Beeston Fields) - 34 + 36 = 70.
The best Gross Stableford score was from Loraine Howd (Ruddington Grange) with 26 points. Loraine won the Challenge Cup and the Vets Scratch Casket. The Cavendish Bentinck Challenge Cup for the best aggregate scratch from both meetings was won by Jan Hooley (Stanton) - 20 + 25 = 45.
Adele Haddon (College Pines), with 39 points, was the winner of the Centenary Silver Medal and the Vets Grace Lane Bowl. Adele also won the Betty Johnson Trophy for Supervets.
The Jubilee Shield was won by Wollaton Park (Cheryl Slade, Lucy Underwood, Kiren Attwall and Diane Stafford) with 132 points.
