County Captain's Welcome
As I said at the AGM I am very honoured to be County Captain for 2025 and I am sure you will all join me again in saying what a wonderful year it was for Julie, leading the county team to victory at the Midland North Region Finals and then the fantastic achievement of becoming England Golf Women’s County Champions. I’m looking forward to working with our great squad of players especially as we host the MNR Finals at Coxmoor in June. Please do come along and support the team, the players represent the county so well both on and off the course and it’s a real pleasure to spend time with them and also to pick up a few golfing tips from watching them play.
All the county competitions for 2025 are currently being set up and will be open for booking early in the New Year. My County Captains Day is at Wollaton Park on Monday 14th July and having been a “weekend lady” for a lot of my golfing life I am also delighted to be able to hold a County Captains Sunday competition on 13th July, in the afternoon, for those who cannot usually play in the Monday event. Gillian, our President will also be holding her Presidents Day at Sherwood on October 6th, so it’s another busy golfing year to look forward to in 2025.
