Ladies Interclub Final
Sherwood Forest Golf Club were the hosts of the 2024 Ladies Interclub Final on Monday 9th September. The course was slightly wet from the weekend rain which made play a little more bearable, but the wind was strong and it felt quite autumnal.
Out first were Lisa Anthoney and Julie Magilton (Coxmoor) and Rina Ozolins and Alison Hartley (Newark). Coxmoor took an early lead and held on to it all the way to the 18th. The match between second pairings of Julie Jan and Heather Ollerenshaw (Coxmoor) and Eva Glasby and Patricia Applewhite (Newark) was a tightly fought affair and at the turn it was still all square. Coxmoor managed to edge ahead on the long playing back nine and eventually took the win and the trophy. Congratulations!
The matches were played in great spirit and the supporters made for a lovely atmosphere.
