Autumn Meeting and Veteran's Cups
The Autumn Meeting was played at Chilwell Manor Golf Club on Monday 2nd September. Thanks go to everyone at Chilwell for their help and hospitality and for presenting the course in great condition.
The best Stableford score of the day was from Jean Stones (Coxmoor) with an excellent 40 points. Jean won the Challenge Bowl, the Vets Bond Cup, the Centenary Silver Medal as well as the Handicap Challenge Cup for the best aggregate stableford from the Summer and Autumn meetings.
The best Gross Stableford score was from Jan Calder (Sherwood) with 28 points. Jan won the Challenge Cup and the Vets Scratch Casket. The Cavendish Bentinck Challenge Cup for the best aggregate scratch from both meetings was won by Loraine Howd (Ruddington) - 29 + 27.
Charlie Hall (Southwell), with 39 points, was the winner of the Centenary Bronze Medal and the Vets Grace Lane Bowl. Maureen Baker (Ruddington) won the Betty Johnson Trophy for Supervets.
The Jubilee Shield was won by Ruddington Grange (Loraine Howd, Jane Smeeton, Maureen Baker and Margaret Thorpe)
