The MNR Girls Championships were held at a windy and cool Wollaton Park GC on August 25th. Seventeen girls played in the 36 hole Championship representing Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland and Shropshire. The morning round saw some excellent scoring with Gabriella Crowfoot (L&R) and Millie Marsh (Notts) leading with gross 78s. In the Nett competition Denni Coleman (Derbys) led with a nett 68 after the morning round.
The afternoon rounds again saw some excellent scores returned in both the gross and nett competitions and resulted in Gabriella Crowfoot (L&R) 78+76 = 154 winning the Girls Championship for 2024. Denni Coleman (Derbys) recovered from a difficult start to her afternoon round to return a second nett 68 to win the Nett competition. Congratulations to NCLGA juniors Millie Marsh, 3rd Gross 36 hole Championship, Amelia Hothersall, 2nd 36 hole nett, Lexi Williams-Green Best Nett (morning) and Millie Browne, Best Nett (afternoon).
