Wollaton Coffee Morning
Wollaton Park Ladies organised a coffee morning on Monday 5th February in aid of the Lady Captains charity, Marie Curie. The Marie Curie Charity provides end of life care and support, regardless of the illness, to both the person suffering and their family & friends. From specialist nurses offering hospice care at home, care and support for family members to bereavement support, they cover a wide range of services.
Over a hundred ladies attended the coffee morning, from a variety of clubs across the county. The Tombola & Cake Stall did well, but we also had a variety of stall holders offering a wide variety of items to purchase. Slade’s Florists from West Bridgford put on a beautiful display, there were also Honey, Jams & Chutneys for sale. Stunning Silver Jewellery, Withers Gin distillery with free tastings! and ‘Suitably Sporty’ brought a great selection of Ladies Golf clothes, gloves, hats, belts & shoes.
In total we raised £1,000 for Marie Curie.
