The Taskers Trophy are great supporters of junior golf in the Midlands area. The County Unions and Associations receive a donation every year from Taskers, relative to the number of clubs in the county who enter their annual competitions. The closing date for this years' competitions is 31st January 2026, so please consider getting your entry in HERE!
There are reports on their website from both the Past NCLGA Junior Coordinator and the NUGC Treasurer to explain how Taskers have helped junior golf in Nottinghamshire.
Suzi Anderson said "Taskers funding has been a very important part of junior county golf in Nottinghamshire for a number of years. It allows us to provide coaching for any girls under 18 interested in playing golf, regardless of age or handicap. Many of our girls start as youngsters without handicaps, and through monthly coaching opportunities, they are able to meet other girls, form friendships, learn new skills and participate in open events knowing they will not be alone.
Nottinghamshire junior golf is about providing a safe community of girls that can support and encourage each other. The monthly sessions are designed so that they have opportunities to chat to others, meet new people and extend their abilities." Read her full report HERE.
Gordon Bruce said, "Last year, the majority of Taskers funding supported the Nippers Tour and the Mini Ryder Cup. Boys and girls played seven events over seven different courses (U8s up to U12s play 9 holes, and U7s play 6 and 4 holes). The Ryder Cup is played at the end of the season against Shropshire and Herefordshire Pee Wees. The balance of the funding was used for the coaching programme." Read his full report HERE.
If your club haven't played in it before, why not consider giving it a go!
If you prefer not to enter the competition, why not consider a donation to Taskers or to your County Junior Section instead - it would be greatly appreciated and definitely put to good use!
